PHILOSOPHY: The philosophy underlying the Wolf Pack before/afterschool program is founded on the premise that all children should be in a safe and nurturing environment in order to develop positive self images. Buford City Schools recognize the cultural and family changes that have occurred in the general society and have made a decision to provide programs to meet the needs of a child whose parents recognize that before and after school care is needed.

Welcome to another year of our Wolfpack Program at Buford Academy.

The morning Wolf Pack Program (6:30 am–7:40 am) will be housed in the Green Gym. The drop-off area will be outside the Green Gym, located off the Safefield Way entrance to Buford Academy. The fee for the morning program is $15.00 per week per child.

The afternoon Wolf Pack Program (3:35 pm – 6:00 pm) will be conducted in different areas of the school. Pickup will be from the Green Hall car rider door. This entry is located on Sagefield Way. The fee for the afternoon program is $50.00 per week per child.

 

Students must be registered before they may attend the program. Please remember that ANY changes concerning your child's transportation must be made in writing. We also remind everyone that you must sign your child out each day and only those persons authorized may check out your child.

RETURNED CHECKS: If a check is returned for insufficient funds, the director will contact the parent immediately and ask permission to redeposit the check. Upon the return of the second check, the parent will be asked to make all future payments in cash. Failure to do so will cause the student to be withdrawn from the program.

 

SNACKS: All children will be offered a nutritious snack and drink daily.

 

PROGRAM SCHEDULE: When Buford City Schools are CLOSED, Wolf Pack is CLOSED. The program follows the school calendar. If school closes during the day for emergency reasons, the student should be picked up as soon as possible.

 

EMERGENCY PROCEDURES for LATE PICK-UPS: The staff will attempt to contact the parent if no one comes for the child by 6:05 pm. In the event that the parent cannot be contacted, the staff shall contact the emergency contacts listed on the registration form. If the staff is unsuccessful and no one comes by 6:30 pm, the principal must be contacted to authorize contact with local law enforcement personnel.

 

FEES for LATE PICK-UP: Anyone picking up his/her child(ren) after 6:00 pm, will be charged $5.00 per minute overtime. This overtime must be paid at the time the child is picked up or on the next day. Failure to pay by the next day will result in the parent being asked not to send the child(ren) to the program until the fee is paid. IF the parent is late picking p the child(ren) more than three times, then the parent will be asked to withdraw the child(ren) from the program.
